Tronox Chemical, Hamilton Mississippi - Is a large chemical company that employees 400 people at it’s Hamilton Mississippi site. They are producers of Titanium Dioxide that is used in the paint industry.

Our Business Improvement Managers developed and implemented a Production Operating System that increased productivity in the bottleneck process and helped eliminate that process as the rate restriction for the business. This system helped reduce the cost per ton of the finished product by $65, which equates to a savings of $1.2 million dollars per month. Our Business Improvement Managers focused on improving Thru-put and reducing scrap on their worst performing product. At the 60 day mark, performance improved to a point where 7 days per week was no longer needed and scrap was reduced by 50%. These two improvements reduced the manufacturing costs by about $70,000 per month.
